Breast Enlargement/Implants
Breast enlargements are for women who want to regain or improve their figure after birth, increase breast size after losing weight, want to correct uneven breasts, or those wanting to enhance their appearance and boost their self confidence.
Silicone implants are used and placed behind the breast tissue via a small incision in a crease below each breast or under the armpit.
The surgeon will use dissolvable stitches and bandages and a supporting bra will have to be worn. Recovery can take up to 2 weeks and the final result will be seen after 2 months.
Breast Reduction/Lift
Physical discomfort is often associated with very large breasts. Breast reduction will enable your breasts to be in proportion to the rest of your body. The procedure includes the reduction of breast tissue, fat and skin, to make them smaller, lighter and firmer. You may also choose to reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple.
The surgery involves removing excess skin, fat and tissue and raising the nipple to a higher more youthful looking position.
Dissolvable stitches are used and a support bra must be worn during the 6 week recovery period. The final result can be seen after 2 months
Nipple Correction
This is a very popular procedure for those suffering with inverted nipple. Inverted nipples can cause problems with breast feeding and self consciousness with appearance. Corrective surgery can restore the nipple to a more natural projection shape.
The surgery can be performed under local anaesthesia with the patient being treated as a day case. The nipple and underlying tissue is raised and stitched into a protruded position. You will have the option of preserving the milk ducts. Dressing must be applied for 7 days and the final result can be seen after 2 weeks.
Male Breast Reduction
This procedure is the most common amongst our male clients. Excess breast tissue is not just caused by being overweight; it is also caused by an increased circulation of hormones. The surgery will achieve a more natural contour to the male chest by the removal of fatty tissue.
Liposuction is used to remove the excess fatty tissue under a general anaesthetic to give a flatter, more contoured looking chest. If necessary glandular tissue is also removed through incisions at the border of the nipple. The incisions are then sutured to give a flatter, firmer and better-contoured chest. Any stitches will be of the dissolving type and so do not need to be removed.
Dissolvable stitches are left in for one week and a Lycra garment must be worn for 3 weeks. The swelling will finally disappear after 3 weeks making it possible to see the full benefit of the surgery.
